owned and operated private speech language pathology
network serving the Greater Orlando Area.
We at Florida Speech offer
therapy in our office and in the clients' natural
communication environment (ie: home, daycare,
school), and with a family-centered approach.
All therapy sessions include therapist feedback,
encouragement, and strategies for parental/caregiver
follow-up during the non-treatment times. All treatment
sessions are one-on-one contact to specifically
focus on individual goals and optimize client speech
and language development.

Kelly is also a Beckman Oral Motor Certified Specialist and she has extensive training in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) therapeutic techniques.
Kelly began her clinical work in the fall of 2002 at the University of Central Florida Communication Disorders Clinic. She worked as a Speech-Language intern at Florida Speech (Summer 2004) and at Beckman & Associates (Fall 2004) focusing on speech and language delays, oral motor therapy, feeding difficulties, and food aversions. During the summer of 2002, Veronica, alongside a SLP, created a Language Enriched Summer Program where she worked with languge delayed pre-school children. Cara is a State of Florida licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science (2004) from Radford University in Virginia and her Master's of Arts (2010) from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. She is currently in her Clinical Fellowship, pursuing her Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Cara began her clinical work in Fall 2008 at Orlando Day Nursery Preschool in Orlando, Florida. She also completed her clinical practicum while working in the Orange County Public Schools and the University of Central Florida Communication Disorders Clinic. Cara completed internships with Life Care Center of Orlando and Florida Speech-Language Pathology, Inc. She is Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention certified (2008) and holds a UCF Certificate from the US Department of Education in Reading focusing on language and literacy entitled "Preparing School Speech-Language Pathologists for New Educational Roles in Language and Literacy". |
